CNBC.com – MSG’s “Foxwoods Final Five”

CNBC.com’s Darren Rovell reports that, in teams’ overall effort to become more creative with sponsorship sales, Madison Square Garden in New York has found a new piece of inventory: game time.

MSG has sold the final five minutes of in-arena branding for all Knicks and Rangers games to Foxwoods Casinos, with a promotion known as Foxwoods Final Five.

While not process related, MSG has found a way to be more efficient with available fan attention and open up a new revenue stream that many teams will likely emulate in the future.
